THE ROLE

As Design Director, you’ll be responsible for inspiring and steering the creative direction of projects from idea to execution – from big brand strategy thinking through to beautifully crafted designs that get attention and drive growth. You’ll lead a talented team of designers, drive ambitious thinking, and be a key voice in shaping both our studio culture and client relationships.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants to really raise the bar and win awards in the process. This is a role for someone who not only wants to make a real difference, but lead that charge from the front.
Working with our well defined systems and set of strategic and creative tools, you will learn new skills and have an opportunity to work with businesses that are inspiring by changing the way we grow, produce and promote food & drink, to deliver a healthier world for consumers and planet.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Inspire and direct a team of designers, providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and guidance.
- Push creative boundaries while delivering work that’s both brave and brilliantly effective.
- Lead multidisciplinary design projects across brand identity, packaging, campaigns, motion and digital.
- Collaborate closely with strategy, copywriting, and client services to ensure creative work is insight-led and commercially sharp.
- Build and present persuasive creative presentations to clients, confidently articulating design decisions, strategy and brand thinking.
- Contribute to new business pitches and help grow the agency’s creative profile.

ABOUT YOU:
- 8+ years experience in brand design, with a strong portfolio of food, drink, or consumer wellness projects.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead design role within a studio or agency environment.
- Ambition to lead creative thinking for the future.
- A strategic and creative thinker with a deep understanding of how brands work in the real world, and how design drives behaviour.
- A confident leader and collaborator who can bring out the best in others.
- Lead by example.
- Comfortable leading workshops, presenting to clients, and championing brave ideas in a room.
- Passionate about health, sustainability, the future of food, and keen to build brands that leave the world better than they found it.
